Some fundings to watchβ¦
Trading.tv, enabling traders and financial content creators to make livestreams, hasΒ raised a Seed round of $6.1MΒ led by Activant Capital and the private equity firm L Catterton, and followed by the VC firms Navy Capital and Tribe Capital the July 29.
Catch, providing benefits for the creators, has raised a Series A round of $12M led by Crosslink Capital and followed by the VC firms Khosla Ventures, Kindred Ventures, Nyca Partners, and Urban Innovation Fund the July 30.
YELA, enabling celebrities to send video messages to their paying fans has raised a Pre Seed round of $2M, led by Tinder cofounders Justin Mateen and Sean Rad and followed by VC firms like Graph Ventures, Ascension Ventures or Oryx Fund the August 3.
MakersPlace, a NFT marketplace, has raised a Series A round of $30M led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Pantera Capital, and followed by Uncork Capital, 9Yards Capital, the entertainment company Sony and the rapper Eminem the August 4.
Cent, a NFT platform selling tweets, among others things, has raised a Seed round of $3M led by the VC firms In/Visible Ventures and Galaxy Interactive, the Hollywood mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg, the singer will.i.am, and the LinkedIn cofounder-turned VC Mark Pincus the August 5.
... and two exits
Klarna acquired the July 27 with undisclosed terms APPRL. The Swedish startup, founded in 2014, connects creators and retailers to help them realize social shopping content (to know more about shopping content, feel free to read the last issue)
LinkedIn acquired the August 2 with undisclosed terms Jumprope. The US startup, founded in 2017, edits tools & templates for creators to help them create step-by-step videos for their communities.
